Ernest P. Barka Elementary School
Jesseman Associates was selected by the
Town of Derry’s Architect to provide Civil
Engineering
design services for the new Ernest B. Barka Elementary School.
The major components of the civil-site
engineering included site circulation roadways, pedestrian
and student walkways, parking lots, bus and service vehicle entrances and other
site appurtenances.
Storm water drainage was handled with a combination of roadside and closed
drainage systems
with attenuation addressed through the design and construction of a detention
basin at the lower
portion of the site.
Utility designs were completed for water service, sanitary sewer and power.
